WHAT IS PRP TREATMENT?
PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma, is the process of taking a small amount of blood from the person’s body, separating the plasma using a special method and injecting this blood back into the body. The plasma obtained by separating from the blood during the PRP process is very rich in terms of cells called platelets. These cells have a very important role in wound healing thanks to the growth factors contained.
Although PRP treatment plays a big role in wound healing, it also supports the healing process of some diseases and helps rejuvenating the skin. In PRP treatment, where the person's own blood is used instead of drugs, rejuvenation of the cell damages caused by environmental and genetic factors is accelerated.
PRP treatment is also very effective in people who experience hair loss. PRP allows you to have healthier hair by feeding hair follicles, and it is among the highly recommended treatments after hair transplantation.
HOW IS PRP APPLIED?
PRP procedure is a procedure that should be performed by our specialist physicians in the hospital environment. The blood taken from the patient is placed in a special tube under sterile conditions. There is a special gel-like substance in this tube. The blood in the tube placed for the centrifuge is separated within approximately 5-8 minutes by the impact of a special gel-like substance. Thus, the plasma part of the blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, is separated and this mixture is reinjected into the patient.
PRP sessions are repeated at intervals of 2-4 weeks, as recommended by our physicians. It is recommended to be applied for an average of 3-4 sessions. According to the needs of the person, PRP treatment can be applied in combination with mesotherapy.
